These sketches should have been online 2 weeks ago … But as I said in my previous post, I felt no power to put them online before … Luckily, I kept sketching on my sketchpad all this time …

Oh yes, a word to say that most of the sketches are from other sources, whether a photo book, Manga illustrations, adverts, or people in places I happen to be …

A final word to say that I have stopped to allow comments on this blog as the spamming was getting annoying … I will try to find a solution later …

Here is a portrait I made while I was eating with some friends in a small pub in Shibuya … I kept saying I was not happy to do it … A bit because I was shy to sketch live for someone like that … I bit because I thought it would look like hell, etc … But in fact I was dead happy to move my ass and just do it © Nike !!! I just realised most of my time sketching is in trains and restaurants … It is interesting but quite limiting … And this is the magic of this blog and my sketchbook … It forces me (I really need that) to always draw … And so in my new sketchbook, I will go in various places in Tokyo and sketch there … Probably during weekends …

Well. Here is the link of a French BD (Comics in French) artist NEMIRI who I just love (his art, not him … I mean, I don’t even know him personally !!!) … Anyway it is here: http://www.nemiri.com/ … I sketched few illustrations based on his comic for children “Hyper L’hyppo” … This comic is even signed by him with a nice little sketch (no really I don’t know him, I got it dedicated thanks to my cousin, who knows him ) … Anyway, I wish I could do like the Japanese say: drink his hanakso* and become as talented as he is
